I'm not sure if this has been posted somewhere else, but......

I'm creating an application that, when a user registers, their login name will be their email address....
I would like to know the code used, to check and see if they already have an existing account...

Can someone help me out?

You won't get an exact match for what you want. You almost never will. This is a rough idea to get you started, using the Count function of SQL.

SQL_Query = "Select Count (Email) as Email_Count from Users where Email = '" & Email & "'"
RS.Open SQL_Query
if RS (0) > 0 then
     ' the email account already exists in the database.
end if
RS.Close
