I am new to blogging so be gentle. I have a very new blog and I am looking for opinions on the design and layout. I'm trying to keep it similar in design to my site SearchBliss. Thanks!

Thanks. You stated "Looks like one of standard Blogger's disigns" which is part of the problem. How can I make it look better without losing the "ease of browsing"? Or is it OK as is? I'm just not sure. Thanks again

I think it looks OK as is, because its gentle on eyes for reading.

Clean and easy to navigate and read through.

The site looks pretty interesting, but I think it's a little boring. The header and the blogger bar is really the only color. Maybe adding some sort of background color at least would help with it. Black on white gets boring to look at it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will think about the background color. What would you suggest?

Hey kline11,

Not bad though the header doesn't seem to line up center with your content. It looks like it's off to the right a bit too much. Otherwise, I'd recommend using a different background/color for the sub menu you have on the right. That would help distinguish that from the main content a bit more.

It seems that you don't neet any improvements, at least until your website redesign. Blog design is nice enough.

your blog is not bad, if you want to change your regular blogger template, just go to www.blogcrowds.com, or blogger-templates.blogspot.com, they have a good design of blogger template

I like your color scheme, and simplicity of your site. My advice to you is to change colors of google ads to fit better in your scheme..For example you can use your orange color for Adsense titles, or something like that. Sponsors bar could be replaced with higher quality pic..it's a bit blurry.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe the orange will work for the top and bottom adsense ads, but keep the blue on the right to fit the other links? I'll see how that looks. Also I have added a border around the right table to divide it from the main table. What do you think now?

Goog point. I have moved the archive up, so now it is just below the "About US" section. How is this? Or should I put it above or just below the "Welcome" message? Thanks again for everyone's help.

That's not quite what I mean when I mean that the sidebar is below all of the posts. Here's a screenshot (large file - 1.8mb). See how the WHOLE sidebar is at the bottom of the page?

Also, the header image is too big for the box that it is sitting in. You might want to make that box bigger, or make the header image smaller.

Wow, that's odd. It looks fine in IE. Could you check to see if all looks good now? Thanks.
