Pseudocrap is my personal blog, on which I write posts about topics that I find interesting and humorous under the categories General, Design and Developing, Education, Humour and Vdieos.

Any and all feedback is welcomed.

It's a good start. I would suggest avoiding "Hello World" type posts, such as your "Updates" entry. The reason is that these things are only interesting to you. It's understood that personal blogs tend towards E/N (everything to the writer/nothing to anyone else) but try to keep it to a minimum.

The visual style is OK. It has a lot of color but minimal complex graphics, which I guess is all the rage in blogs. The colors are complimentary enough. I might shrink the header area a bit, since there is a lot of empty space that isn't used for much. Some use of "negative space" is good but don't overdo it.

Hard to say more until there are more posts. I would give it a 6-6.5 based on what I have seen today. If it fills up with things many people would find interesting, that score could easily rise.

Removed the updates section of the post. I agree with your comment about there being too much white space, I am working on adding something that will fix that. Talkupation added.

I am still playing around with the idea of multiple posts on the home page. As a matter of personal preference I like there to be one post. However, I am considering adding a feature to allow you to customise how many posts you want to show on the home page. Talkupation added due to your comment inspiring a thought.

I am sure you could The Winner and thank you for the offer, but if it is all the same I would like to continue as-is and design a logo when I get that little spark of creativity.

Awesome site.

The design and the content are both very good. Love the comment at the bottom.

Could use a logo but I don't think it'll improve it a great deal... just because I think the simple 'straight line' thing makes it look good without a logo.

I don't think it needs a logo, either. Where would you put it anyway? The text thing is fine.

You're off to a good start. I'd suggest making your recent posts a bit more obvious and you've got a Javascript error in IE, but other than that, I'm cool with it.

Well I took on board all the comments made so far and made a realign of my site. As for the logo, I have played around with several and they just don't fit. Maybe on the next realign.

Any comments on this reincarnation?

I actually really love the design. It's modern, clean and not too crowded at all. Great job!

I don't really have a lot to suggest in that respect. Content wise i would make it a little more focused and a little less random (but that's up to you). Also the footer text comes across as a little offensive, even to those of us who aren't gonna steal your code lol.

Thanks for the feedback. I am currently updating the layout a little (new column, fills more of the screen (relative sizing).

I re-read the footer and it is indeed rude. I am sorry about that and will change it on the next realign.

As for the content, I think as I make more and more posts, it will start to fit in better. I'm a considerably random person (some may say schizophrenic) so the first few months of posts will just be me finding my style and filling the DB.

Hi there,

Your concept is quite good. Nice simple design looks quite userfriendly as compared to cluttered design.

However, can I please suggest to replace the orange color with a more catching color like Maroon / Navy Blue.

Otherwise good work !!! Keep it up.
