This has been a project four years in the making. Two years of ideas and two years to finally bring it all together.

Since the birth of our twins four years ago I've always wanted to have a family website. On May 6th, 2004 our twins, Josh & Sadee were born eleven weeks premature. They spent the first two months of their lives in the NICU of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital. Because many of our friends and relatives lived out-of-town their only means of keeping up-to-date was through our emails and photos.

I am new to this whole blogging thing. But in April 2008 I came across a wonderful photo blog, ProPhoto. This is one of the best (if not the best) wordpress photo blog templates I found. I immediately started using it for my business blog, Gametime Photography. After tweaking, editing, and experimenting with my GTP blog, I knew right away I had the perfect solution for our family website. We were going to use ProPhoto again.

Finally on June 24, 2008 we went live with CantuFamilia.com. My wife Michelle and I are working hard to add content to our blog. Our goal is to add older slide shows to the SlideShow Archive link at the top of the page. I have most of 2008 up-to-date. 2004 has two months (May & June) of slide shows for viewing. As time permits, we will add to the rest of 2004-2007.

We would appreciate any comments, feedback, or suggestions about our blog.

It's looking good and I do like the menu thing that pops down when you hover over Slideshows.

I like the site, it's very good. I would try to upload some video to it, use youtube.com

Is it going to be only for family? In that case you might want to make it private and password protected so you don't get idiots commenting on your family photos and spam

that's good you're being proud to share the stories of your family even if they think you have a bad site..it's always good to be proud of your fam..
