That is an absolutely beautiful front page! The problem, I think, is when you click on an article. The main section of the front page is that eye candy set of links to your posts, however once you're inside the post it feels pretty plain.

It's really not a big deal but I almost feel as if the blog looses something when you have so much eye candy out front, but once inside it's all gone.

Clean colour scheme is easy on the eye, perhaps a slightly larger type face might help however I am running at a relatively high resolution on my laptop. The Technorati logo on the About page doesn't show on my screen.

Until you visit the about page it isn't really clear what the Blog is about, perhaps a short description on the home page might help?

I can't see the word "barcamp7" fully. The word is hidden behind the black rectangle. Else, I find the site interesting. I think when you type in a summary about the article, the back rectangle "background for the text" increase in height and cover the pictures. I think so but I'm not sure what I'm saying is right. Do a test. Good luck and keep on...

The design isn't bad but I think you should have some text on the landing page which explains what your site is about.
