Menu header or not...you decide!

I'm stuck on whether to lose the header for my site:

http://discount-offers-uk.com/

The theme concept is Red/White/Blue because it's based in the UK and I'm offering discount links and special offers etc.

Anyway, I've spent a bit of time messing around with a header (see site) but can't decide whether to keep it or not. The two options are:

1. Lose it. It looks better and less cluttered without it but I'm worried that people might not know to click the logo to go "home"

2. Keep it. It doesn't look too bad but I want to de-clutter the header section.

Do you typically click the logo or look for a "home" button?

Cheers

I would keep it, it looks a lot better and it would not look good at all without it.

Keep it, I like how it looks and you're probably right, most people usually click on the logo for homepage (at least I do that )

I would keep it but if you are worried about clutter you ought to move the ad somewhere else. I think most of us are conditioned to click a logo to go home but we spend a lot of time on the internet. I think you could add a home link just above the categories for people that don't go online often. I did this with a forum I have. The logo is linked but not everyone knows that and it doesn't hurt to have another.

it took forever for your page to load and at the very to were it says "home" and it is a link but than just a blue bar across the top you should take that out and there is to much white need to add a background or something and some photo on the top left never loaded

Or you could make a new header....and lose the ad on the right...I think it distracts from the site and makes it look like too many others....

You can get good header software from Xheader.com for free...(I am not an affiliate)
It is free and easy to use......super results...

Id have the header going fully across the width of the "content" area top. A little header doesn't really make me think its a header. It makes me feel like it is more of a advertisement.
