if it is possible to remove that white banner behind the page (Header) pls remove it.
overall u have nice and interesting content to make visitors busy on ur site.
Search bar below the categories doesn't looks like a search bar until u click on it.
Page load time and links are ok.

Good blog over all. The right side after 'search' looks too empty. You can add some plugins or populate it with things like calender, tag cloud etc.
