Yes, try to find out good design on template monster for awesome design ideas. Most of the designers takes ideas from there.

Yeah I agree, try a different layout, mess around a bit with the colors! Blog spots default templates usually aren't that good.

Firstly visit some blogs and then make better decision about color combination, layout. Otherwise visit some blog template sites. That will give a better idea.

i think you should take some effort on it, its colour lose coordination, The layout looks a little messy.
