I would try to get some color in the site. It looks very basic. If you don't want to use images then try to ad some bg colors to make it more than black and white. I would chaneg the date format too, it is kind of annoying and confusiong.

Some colour would make your website more appealing and the use of images would give it a more personal feel.

I'd try and add a heading image and possibly change the background colour.

the first think i notice is that it doesnt have any background color or images.
it will look good if you add some colors and images.

Thanks for the review. I dont know of many professional site (news, high level blog) that have a background image for it.The result you see is the result of playing a lot with fonts and width. I'm not sure what to do with color. Adding color needs to have some kind of balance and complement colors along with it and that gets complicated to balance along the the navigation and main frame. Most all major news sites have plain white for their content and a blue for their navigation, but putting the side links in some kind of layout would limit how many keywords I can add.
