www.ancientstandard.com is the URL of a new blog I just launched the other week.

We just had the new design finished and added to the site (it's using wordpress). I would appreciate if you guys could take a look and critique the design, ad placement and what you think of the actual content.

Visually very appealing.
Very nice template. Is it custom made by you ?
Ads fit very well with the content.

Visually can't find anything that should be changed

"Ancient History That Doesn’t Suck" LOL what ancient history does suck?? Other than that your site is very professional looking. Everything comes together nicely but i would be interested in knowing what type of audience your targeting. Is it teenagers or adults?

The reason I bring this up is "Ancient History That Doesn’t Suck". It stood out to much for me and didnt fit with the content and site design.

That is the best blog i have ever seen. Did you make it yourself? The adsense ads blend in perfectly.

Yes. This for me as well is probably the best blog/site i've seen asthetically for a few months now. But as for the topic I'm not sure if it is good for a blog. I guess there probably aren't too many blogs on ancient history but the thing about history is it doesn't change or updage or for at least ancient history get added to in your life time so it might be hard to add new, interesting stuff.
For your topic you couldn't have done a thing better then you already have.

Color scheme and arrangement of various items looks good. I just checked up the code validation at http://validator.w3.org/. It says, "This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict!" and shows 16 errors. Would this matter while displaying in different browsers and in search engine ranking?
