i also like the simplicity, i think the bg of the site would look good dark, but the pattern in the bg stands out a little too much, which makes it a little too difficult to read the white text. consider using a graphics editing program to make the bg a little more transparant so the pattern doesnt stand out too much. apart from that, you have a nice site.
