I have added my blog feed as - http://design.webgk.com/atom.xml y'day.
But none of the post showing in the latest blog post area!
What could be the reason. Is there anything wrong with the url or atom is not compatible? Any solution please.

I don't remember how to fix it for Blogger - it's harder than WordPress. But I'm pretty sure you want not atom.

Did you remember to ping the forum when you publish a post? I'm not familiar with blogger, but I assume you can set up automatic pinging.

How do I do that?
I think in DP there is no problem with atom. Might be helpful to look at it, how does it work. I am finding a solution on it, will be helpful for WMT too.

I don't know how you send out a ping from blogger since I've never used it, but I'm sure it can be done. It's not about atom. When your blog sends out a ping it alerts those listening that you've updated and to come take a look.
The URL to ping is listed in the options in your control panel just below where you entered your feed. If you can't figure out how to send out the ping on your blog then select the WMT Update in the options in your control panel here.
The WMT Update option means the forum will check without the ping to see if you've updated, but only if you remain an active member. If you don't log in for a day the forum won't go looking.

That's great to know Steven, that it is not atom.
I had set it to autoping from cp using WMT Update option. This was done 3-4 days back. I was logged in to Forum several times more than couple of hours. I don't understand what's the problem.
Sorry, If am giving you any trouble.

No trouble. How do you have things set here in your control panel? Ddo you have the WT Update option checked or the ping option checked?
I'm sure we'll get it working for you.

Thanks a lot for your support.
I've tried both, but now it has been set up using WMT update option.

Obviously we're not seeing your latest post here so something isn't quite right. I'm wondering if it could be an atom thing. The feed I have listed here ends in feed/
I tired that with your feed and I couldn't access it. It seems it's only the atom.xml page that shows the feed. One thing you might try is registering with FeedBurner and creating an rss version of your feed. It's free and easy and then you can test to see if atom is the issue.
I'm still trying to find out how you would set blogspot to ping. I haven't come across it yet, but I'm pretty sure it can be done. I know there are people here who use blogger and have managed to get their feed working here.

Hello Steven,
I have burned the feed with FeedBurner and created the rss version of the feed as suggested by you. But no luck. It's still not working.
I have tried all these four feeds in DP and it is working there with no issues!
http://design.webgk.com/atom.xml
http://design.webgk.com/rss.xml
http://design.webgk.com/feeds/posts/default
http://feeds.feedburner.com/seodesignwebgk
I have also test the feed using feed validator and everythings seems to be working fine. I can also syndicate those feeds in my page - yahoo, google but webmaster-talk.
I don't know what could be the reason. I think it will take some time to sort out this issue.
Thanks for your valuable input and time, really appreciated.
Regards,
Atcony

Look at the "latest blog post" thread I think in the webmaster-talk news forum. 6 months ago when I used Blogger I had the same problem and figured it out. I don't remember the exact solution - I just remember you don't want to use atom and it was a query string you add to the end of your feed to get it to work. I found this by clicking links on my blog until I got it working. I had typed out the solution in that thread, then put it out of mind.

Hi John,
Got the post here...
http://www.webmaster-talk.com/406431-post19.html
I think I have tried it out. But I think, didn't wait enough for results to appear.
According to this post If I paste this http://design.webgk.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss in address bar, it is showing all the posts. I hope it will work this time.
Let me give one more try.

I think it takes an hour or two after you make the change to show up. Probably something with caching. But http://design.webgk.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss resolves like it's supposed to, and the links go where they're supposed to. So I think that's the right one - you would just add it to your control panel here, not as a ping option but as while you're logged in ( I don't think Blogger is set up to ping? If it is, I didn't understand how to do that at the time.) to check your feed.

I'm glad you had a solution John. I think I remember when you had a problem, but I couldn't remember what you did to fix things. Hopefully the next time webgk publishes a new post and logs in it will show up here.

Would it be possible to add some text to the control panel saying "... if you use Google blogger, enter a link in this format ...?"

I'll have to look, but I don't think it would be too hard. Let's make sure it works for webgk and then I'll ask Tim about updating the text on the page.

Hurrah! It's there.
You are genius John.
This link worked at last.
No need to ping through bloggers blog.
There is a great team over here. I admired your collective efforts. Thanks a lot.

Glad we and mostly John could help sort out the issue. As soon as I opened this thread and saw your latest post working I knew we had finally achieved success.

Instead of creating a new post about this I thought I'd add this bit of info here in case it hasn't come up elsewhere on the forum.
If you're using Blogger and Feedburner and decide to redirect your feed so that you can get a better count of your subscribers it will break the feed option in your profile here. Mine has been stuck on an old post for a while now.
*edit*
I should try to be a little clearer.
I think this only happens if you choose to redirect your feed by checking off the option to do so IN bloggers feed tab under the dashboard. Also if you were using your native feed as a sitemap and checked off the option to combine it into your FB feed then that has also screwed up.
(I changed my feed address today to the feedburner one so it may update soon)
