I have a free blog at wordpress and blogger. I don't know how to put adsense ads on these blogs. Can I paste adsense codes in the free blogs or I am required to purchase the upgraded ones for this purpose. Shall be thankful for a quick reply.

Usually not on free blogs, you have to pay for your own domain, webhost, etc. to be free of those restrictions. I'm speaking of wordpress, not sure about blogger because I don't use blogger.

James is correct. Wordpress doesn't allow Adsense ads on their free blog site.

Blogger does allow it. Just go into template settings and add a page element.
You'll see Adsense in the list of choices.

If you add adsense through the page elements section of blogger you should only get text ads. If you generate the code in the adsense wizard and paste it into the html/javascript element you'll get both image and text ads.

Yes, Blogger is really easy to change the layout. As said above, you should only add a text ad. Banner ads will move and attract away from the content, which is something that you don't want to do on a blog.

i would just get your own domain throw it up on some cheap hosting install wordpress then adsnse your heart away with a theme that has built in adsense

-wordpress on your own domain is both long term and best solution
-it is very easy , once you understand as to how to paste ads anywhere you want in the theme..

well, in my own experience, its easy to put an adsense on blogger. obviously because blogger is owned by google.

Yes it's easy to put adsense ads on blogger and not allowed to put adsense ads on freely hosted wordpress. But you can host your own wordpress and put your google adsense ads.

For Blogger: Yes, you can add a page element that is exclusively for AdSense..

For Wordpress: It depends...

Yuck why use adsense? Don't use adsense until your blog gets a lot of traffic then focus on using adsense.
