I've tried on both smartftp and filezilla and neither will let me access my folders anymore, smartftp says "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine." and filezilla just says disconnected from the server..

any ideas on how to fix it?

It's a problem with the server, not the client. You should call customer service. What host do you use?
