Help on Blogger and Bookmarks

I honestly am clueless when it comes to programming. I am currently into blogging and would like to add Bookmarks for each post. I have read tutorials that say insert codes just below # <$BlogItemBody$>. It worked, yes, but when in classic view, I have my bookmarks but miss some of the page elements. And when I choose another, newer template, I retain the lost page elements but can't find my Bookmarks.

When I look into the html code of the new layout, I cannot locate # <$BlogItemBody$>, even if I expand the widget.

What do I do? Where do I insert the codes?

Help, please...

Why are you using classic?

Isn't the new one with the page elements much easier to use and modify? You can easily add page elements to you sidebars with a simple click. Also if you use FeedBurner you can enable "feed flare" which have links to the most popular bookmarking services on the net. You can choose which ones you display on your blog's footer and in your feed's footer.

Or you can add the "addthis" button to your blogger template with does the same thing in a simple and neat little button.

Or
If you're use FireFox as your browser when you are looking at your template code click control+F and a little bar shows up at the bottom of your screen. Inside the box type <$BlogItemBody$> and it will find and highlight where those words or symbols are on your template. Voila!
