Does anybody know how to get into the <?php get_links_list(); ?> function? The way my blog is set up, the sidebar items ( search, tags, archives, blogroll ) were using h2 tags. Mainly for layout. I changed all of them to spans with the styling that was applied to the h2s, and everything is great.

Except the rest of these were wrapped up in h2 tags in the Wordpress theme, while the <?php get_links_list(); ?> function emits h2 tags, and the label. I'd like to get into the code it uses, and do the same thing.

Any ideas on how I might go about this?

In your wp-includes folder, see if you have a file called bookmark-template.php with the get_links_list function in it. That's where I found mine.

Mind you, I hacked mine a bit differently. I found that, to hack the blogroll, I had to get into wp_list_bookmarks (same file) to get what I wanted. You may find better luck going at it this way.

For extra credit, do you know where I might find the read more function? It's most of what's preventing my home page from validating.

I guess I should download the whole folder and use grep...

I believe the read more function is in the wp-includes/post-template.php file.

While I'm not as familiar with custom coding jobs, from my understanding, this plugin may help apply yours or others different CSS styles to the links (including the blogroll):
