I'm using wordpress to create a new blog, these are the things I know about it:

It'll be a personal satire, rant blog, more geared towards adults (nothing with porn or anything, just more adult-oriented humor).

I want to have a "shocking" type of theme, so I'll want:
-mostly black background on white text (I'll also want to have larger text)
-I'm not planning on having that many pages (not posts, pages), so it won't have very many links
-only want to use a two-column theme, and it's widget ready.
-this means I'll want some kind of lightning-type of logo, graphics etc.

Also, the domain I just registered for it is www.lightningshock.com

I'll give TP for any features I use, great theme suggestions, etc. .

I don't think I've seen a theme that's not widget ready...? A few to look at:

Of course it still needs some specific work on the graphics dept. I probably won't keep the "city skyline" in the header, so I'm open to ideas of images, graphics to replace it with.

Plus I'd also like to add a cool title graphic, rather than just the boring "Wordpress Testsite" text, but nothing over the top, I don't want to distract visitors, slow down site speed, etc.

It's funny ... I'm not a web designer, or any kind of designer honestly, but I look at themes as starting points, too.

Ok, everything is setup, domain, database-wise, etc.

That first theme you pointed out to me isn't widget-ready, I'm not allowed to change anything in the sidebar with it. Are there any similar themes like it that are widget-ready?

Hmm, that's less helpful than I had hoped.

I created a "feedback" *page* (not post), so visitors can leave comments on the site, but for some reason, people can't comment on it, I don't know why. Any ideas?
