Paul there are a lot of people who refuse to subscribe to a blog that only publishes a partial feed. I've never heard someone say they won't subscribe to one that publishes the full feed. Why do something that limits who'll read your blog before they even get to the content.

Hi Kyle
First of all let me make one thing clear in your mind, that If you are having unique contents then no one can gonna defeat your blog by copying contents from your blog.

Secondly, Do not hesitate to have RSS feed for your Blog, as it is much more important in terms of Blogs. Also RSS feed will make google to crawl ur Blog much more frequently. That will increase more traffic on your Blog.
Hope this helps.....

I would also recommend using rss feeds because they are really helpful to increase your blog's traffic. In most forums like Webmaster-talk, they allow to post the rss feeds of your blog along with your profile. In this way, your blog can get extra traffic if some members get attracted to the title of your new post..

For me, allowing an RSS feed in a website help it to be promoted in internet marketing. (same as to email subscription)

If you don't want to offer RSS, use a website editor like front page or dreamweaver to publish your site instead.
It's a little silly to publish a blog and turn off the syndication features.

-
That said, having your RSS feeds syndicated indicates that people are interested in your content enough to publish it on another site.

If you are concerned about made-for-adsense sites scraping your content, then embed your affiliates links or other links within your blog.

Anyway, the first place that scrapers typically hit is wikipedia.

I'd be more concerned about generating traffic and income from your blog than having content "stolen"

RSS is your friend. When others us it on their site it leads as a track back to yours. You should see it like a comment to the post
