okay i need to create a blog type website now and checked out my web-hosts Fantastico
and i have a choice of 3 programs but dont know what to choose as this is my first blog

Wordpress
Nucleus
b2evolution

i would like one with alot of plugins available and also templates but also the ability to add adspace and maybe modify the sites code aswell

any ideas which one to choose?

WordPress hands down for me.
I've customized WP to meet all of my needs everytime.
There are a ton of templates, plugins, etc. for WP also.
Very easy to use.

Haven't had any experience with the others.

If you're using Fantastico, you could also install each one and see what each one looks like to do your own evaluation.

Wordpress. No question. Easily customized. Lots of templates, plugins and a helpful forum.

I don't really blog, in the usual sense, but use it to easily update my websites.

I've always loved how easy WP is to use, and it has a HUGE following that makes community-based support awesome!

Another alternative is Drupal. This is more of a CMS than a blog platform, but because of this it has a little more flexibility than WP. It should also be in your Fantastico menu.
