Hi guys

I have been looking thru the blog themes section, I have to say i found it very frustrating and annoying.

Many of those themes have 4 5 or 6 links at the bottom, from the people that have created these themes, while i accept they deserve a link back for their site, 4 5 or 6 links is too much and just trying to take advantage of unwitting people who install them.

The section is just proving an indirect way to gain spam links in my opinion ? Can you not do something about this to clean up the quality of the themes ?

This is probably something you'd want to ask in S&F.

But either way, there's not much the staff can do about it, as it's up to the authors of the themes on how many links are able to be removed or not.

I wouldn't consider it spam though, because they are still providing a service (free themes).

Building unique themes is always the best way to go, many people find they rank much better in search engines when using a unique theme. Remember, a crawler can tell if your website design\setup is the same as another, regardless if they entire sites content is different. Crawlers like "unique".
