There is no real default figure for that, it depends on lots of factors. How much time do you have per day, how long does it take to research and write an article, are there certain days where you are not able to write articles, do you have different interests ?
I say that you need between 30 and 60 minutes per blog per day if you write quality articles, some need more, some need less but this figure should be fine for most webmasters.
Some blogs don't need to be updated per day, this really depends on the type of blog. If you have a special niche blog about an event that occurs once a week it does not make much sense to write every day on that blog.. I think..
I'am able to handle about 4-6 blogs next to my real job. I update two every day and the others several times a week.
I started one new blog where I'am paying someone to write the articles, it's more of an experiment if this will work out fine or not..
