You might like to lose the capslock, most people don't like being yelled at

Oh, jesus, this is almost unreadable! Really, you should definitely go with small letters!

The best way to encourage comments -- besides asking for them -- is posing questions to your readers, or some compelling reason to chime in (contest, etc.).

Another good way would be to create some controversy on a topic, or start the commenting process yourself (with a second account). Most users shy away from a website with no comments, many don't like to be the first it seems.

May be it's just me, but the font seemed too small. Generally I use 9pt or 8pt.

I agree. Some viewers might find it hard to read. And i think that you might utilize some of the white space on both sides. And to establish a bit of uniformity, why not stick to a font or two, three at a max. Just my two cents worth of opinion.

You should never specify font size in pts, it prevents people from using their browser to adjust the size. This is important for people with poor eyesight who struggle to read small text. Specify it in ems instead. That way if readers find it a little small they can enlarge it with their browser settings.

I posted a coment for you.

From my experience most people post a coment when they want to promote their site. Even when I ask a question.

If my visitors have something to say they always use email.

Good Luck with your BLOG.

Michael
