I've submitted blogs to search engines. It works quit well. I've also noticed that
googles blogger sites seem to listed a lot sooner on their own even if you don't submit them..

I am a new comer in blogging and I do not have the chance to know the nitty-gritty things of blogging. If I ask anybody to help, he will advise me in jargon-oriented technicalities which are rather incomprehensible to me. Can anybody talk in popular language?

These are the main things I do. I do directory submissions for more backlinks, and I put my link in my sig and do link swaps to increase my popularity. I also use digg.com a lot.

These are good, ideas, im not sure link exchanges are what they used to be, certainly not for SEO anyway. Submit to stumpleupon and get commenting on other peoples blogs in your niche
