I just started blogging about 2 weeks ago, so far I've had about 1400 page impressions so someobody must be reading something, but hardly any clicks i.e like 2 - is that normal ? What percentage of clicks per page impression is average for a blog. I read somewhere it is around 5% - which would mean for my 1400 page impressions around 70 clicks (I would be happy with !% !). Am I doing something wrong or is 2 clicks for 1400 page impressions OK ?

It all really depends. Sometimes you get more and sometimes you don't. The number of clicks all depends on if the ads are targeted and interest the reader.

My blog's CTR is less than 1%.

depends on the ads if its targetted and got the interest of the readers.
One of my blog gets more click even it has less impressions, compared to my other blogs that gets 4x number of impressions.

It takes a lot of work to get your blog to make money. Where are your ads placed on your blog? What ad network are you running?

You may try cpa ads, see my sig. I got tired of adsense myself and getting pennies.

My clicks are horrible, really really bad. I need to get CPM ads, but do not have a high enough page rank for the ad groups I want. (I want movie ads)

Ses - the ads I'm referring to are adsense, I also have other stuff which doesn't work either but it is adsense I am trying to get to work, as I thought, maybe incorrectly that this offered the greatest potential. I've tried various ad placements, at the moment I'm trying to figre out how to get them alongside the content (I'm using blogger) but haven't figure it out yet.

Insane - that's fine, except I am in it for the money, hopefully exchanging useful information in exchange for advertising revenue - a bit like TV really :-)

I make money from other sites not my blog

I've also found that blog readers are particularly ad blind. With that decent level of traffic I would prefer affiliate banners or some other CPA scheme.

To be honest though keeping a blog fresh is too much work and I'd look for some other way to make money. I'd prefer to put up a niche content site and just leave it while I start on the next site, and so on.
