I've been with wordpress.com for around 12 months, but recently when i changed the password of it, the blog was suspended. I'm shocked to see it. All my hard work went into dustbin. I've even written to the support team...but no answer from them.

Have you been monetizing your site? I heard wordpress have strict rules against that.
That is why some advocate hostig your own wordpress site as you control it.

Best bet is to host it yourself. I test with free first then move to a server when things start to pick up.

Generally it's good idea to have control of the hosting yourself, have access to the database - if you don't like your host or service worsens you can simply grab a copy of the DB, change nameservers and move to another provider.

Ok so i should move to the own hosting. Can anybody recommend a good webhost for the blogs?

I have a virtual server from GoDaddy so that I can host up to 30 of my sites for one low price.

Unless your blog is getting heavy traffic, a small account with a place like "A Small Orange" should be fine for you. I haven't had shared hosting in quite a while, but you should be able to get a small account for around $10.00/month.

For blogging, bluehost is the best it seems. Even wordpress recommends it.
