How can one know the stats of a wordpress blog? If it is a website, a statcounter code will do the purpose, but in the wordpress blog how should i get the stat of the visitors?

You can also try Awstats. I use it on my blogs and they provide a detailed analysis of your stats. Some hosting companies such as Hostgator provide it for free whilst some others will charge you to have it hosted on their servers

There's also the little plugin I use called Counterize. They don't have stats as detailed as AwStats but it works good if you have a small blog that does not get 50 000 hits a day

wp-shortstat plugin, though it's somewhat lacking in features.

theres another one called 'slim stat' think you can find out the location of your visitors too!

I also like AWStats for some quick overview info. For digging in deeper, I think Google Analytics is difficult to beat. Only thing is, Google is collecting the same info for its own uses. :001_rolleyes:
