Hello folks

I am new to blogging, and I just discovered that people can make some extra change, some even a full time income with their blogs. How do you guys do this? Any tips and advice? Currently I only have one blog, but its a personal one.

Hopefully you guys can mentor me

You should join their groups, they often visit their friends 1 or 2 a day

In the beginning, be as creative as you can in blog marketing. In the long run, blogs with good content stay.

Read some informative blogs about blogging, I recommend

Don't get the wrong impression here... it's not always an "over night" thingy...

You've have to work hard & long at it...unless you've got a super unique
niche that will do extremely well with the search engines.. Good Luck

that goes for a paid one (wordpress.org). you can't add adsense to a free one like wordpress.com. purchase a domain and hosting first :2guns:

If you dont have a host. Get a wordpress blog or a blogger blog. They have high authority and are all monitored for you. As for income you should look into adsense and affiliate marketing. Look at my signature for a basic guide for affiliate marketing!

yes you can earn full time income with blogs and join the club i am also working on the same topic.First find some 5 topics which you like and start blogging, add atleast 30 topics each on start and a topic a day everyday. make your blog url listed in as many different directories as possible and try to comment in top blogs get yourself registered in the adsense program and wait for your check.

I decided to start my first blog for commercial purposes:

Its basically a site for world and enviormental news and issues. Its not much as you can see, but I'm kinda testing the waters right now. I basically used feedwordpress for some random posts just to check it out. Personally I want the blog to give some automated posts, along with my own articles.

It would be great if you guys can advise me even further. For one thing I know that it really needs a visual upgrade, plus alot of cleaning up. It also needs some quality articles in order to generate some readers.

From what I know, all the successful bloggers pay a lot of attention on creating their own contents. So be prepared to work hard for the next 6-12 months.

Should you have a separate domain name for each blog topic or niche you want to blog about? Or should you just create one main domain name and make sub-domains off of the main for each blog topic?

try blogger and upgrade it to your own domain later. that's the ideal service to start from :2guns:

@mic510: if the topics are linked just make one domain with different catergories. However if they are completely different its a better idea to get a domain per blog.

Its actually the latter. Although I want a few articles that are taken from other sites for content, I also want it personalized, and something that readers would appreciate. Something that can get continual readership and hopefully be able to generate some money. If you can advise me on this, I would be more than grateful.

I was thinking of creating a domain, for example, something like "blogcentral.com" and then making several different sub-domain categories off of it, i.e. "www.blogcentral.com/dogtraining"..."www.blogcentral.com/basketweaving", etc, etc...

But I don't want to do that if thats not a good idea to do..
