I know this has been touched on before, and often the answer is "Dont go with a free service, get your own hosting and use Wordpress"

BUT

If you cant afford hosting, then what is the very best free blogging service? and why?

i think it's blogger.com because it's owned by Google. Who knows Adsense better than Google ?

Yes,got it.

In my opinion,

Paid Hosting will has its own advantage.

Such as longer lifetime, and I has tried several free stuffs, which disappear after several months with my php files.

Blogger is a really good free blog. First it's owner by Google. Second it is easy to use. It is also one of the few free blogs that doesn't seem to mind Adsense or commercial use.

I am a new earner with adsense , to earn with blogging to put adsense content on my blogs , i think my blogs are really very (bad) and that's why i join this community to feel free to ask question and helped by somebody ,who tell me the way how to make great blogs just check my blogs,

i used blogdrive and its not very promising in terms of allowable image capacity

Blogger is strong and feature packed. But they can be pretty strict in clamping down on copyright infringment and such.

Also objectional content.

I also prefer blogger because of its free hosting and user-friendly. You can also easily put an Adsense on your blog.

blogger is alright i used it ok for a while, i did have problems uploading though once my blog got big, so moved to wordpress, not sure if that anything to do with blogger or my set up mind !

to me I also prefer blogger for free blogging services simply I used to create several blogs using this services because it is user friendly and easy to navigate!

I'd say wordpress, all the way. I've tried livejournal, and don't recommend it except as a "friends and family" blog. I've tried blogger, and though good, hasn't shown all the possibililities of wordpress. I'd stick with wordpress, al the way.
