I've really had problems trying to convert my blog from blogger to wordpress. I used blogger to publish to my own website (via FTP). Now, I want to use wordpress and have successfully installed to it's own directory on my site. The import utility doesn't work since I'm using FTP. I tried moving it all to blogspot, then using the import utility, but it just doesn't seem to be right.

My problem is that my blog has some pagerank, so I would want to keep the web address the same right? How can I transfer all the posts from the blogger URL's on my site to the wordpress URL's on my site?

First of all is the blogger under your own domain name? If not you won't be able to keep the url if you transfer to a WP hosting.

Transfer from blogger to WP is simple, just login to WP, go to Manage > Import and choose blogger.

Yes, blogger is publishing to my own domain name.

Since I was using FTP to publish, the import tool doesn't work. It would be fine if I was using Blogspot, but I wanted it on my own website.

What have people done to solve this problem?
