Anyone know any good low priced hosting sites for wordpress?
I was considering starting my blog on blogger but I've found out how much more flexible wordpress is and want to know what sites are out there that meet the requirements of wordpress for a man on a budget. I'm not trying to spend too much monthly.

All you need to run WordPress is PHP and a MySQL database. There are thousands of hosting plans offering both between $5-$10/month.

Bluehost & Hostmonster have been notorious for hosting Wordpress blogs. You might want to check them out.

With a little help from youtube I found out how to install wordpress myself (yay me). Now...off to do some research and find out how to install themes.

I have been looking around for Worpress hosting myself. I saw one called Maia Host that looks pretty good. Did some Googling for reviews of it and many of them were positive.

I know that's not always a good guide but I couldn't see any negative reports.
I think they charge about 4 bucks a month.

I just got an account at techentrance.com. They have a good reputation with proxy servers but offer usual accounts as well.
Just Google them for some reviews.

It's $ 2.95 a month ( you have to pay quarterly $ 8.85) for 1000MB Space 10000MB Bandwidth and Unlimited Domains.

Their security is alright as with all better hosters these days. I even have to CHMOD some folders temporarily to make installing Wordpress easier.

Speed is good and it looks like a good deal.

I don't know if you could already solve your problem but maybe I can help you a bit. Regarding the web hosting, that was my company of choice when I was looking for it. The service is pretty good and I'm sure that it will be within your budget. I hope that I could help you with your decision at least a little bit.

I would suggest you do some research on your own, because most of the posts above are in some way self promoting. For myself, I use BlueHost for my two blogs.
