I have a idea about gaining feed subscribers and I believe it's a unique idea.
I haven't seen any blog that using this idea.
My idea is giving a gift to subscribers WHO HAS SUBSCRIBED IN A SPECIAL DAY.
For example you can do it three times a month on a day which you have lots of unique visitors.
You can add a CSS box under the post saying:
Today only: Subscribe and get a free E-Book about SEO Secrets instantly!

BUT THE PROBLEM IS:
I don't know how to do this, I mean I don't know how to verify if someone has subscribed to my feed.
If it was email subscription you could see whose people have subscribed on that day and send that E-Book,etc to his/her email address.

Is there a way to verify if someone has subscribed to your feed on that day? Maybe some kind of code , or link....?

Please share your ideas.

From my understanding, RSS is just an XML page, like any other. Just as you can't know the names of everybody who's seen your home page, there are technical limitations preventing this from being rolled out.

More importantly, an ebook really isn't much of a prize.

Correct, many of the ebooks I write that are given away for free are given away for a reason, to make money in some form.

Check out Dapper.net they allow you to group all your rss feeds together and they also allow other twee ks. E-books are a great prize for novice and beginners so if they are your sales targets it's all good.
