I like your presentation. Simple is good. No need to make it look like some webdesigner built it. Google never looked like a webdesigner built it. It sometimes looks like some kids just copy-pasted some html into a c++ script and just left it at that.
"blog" is a silly category. Sites are sites. If a site happens to be a weblog of some kind (blog for short), so be it. But you don't need to market it as a blog or a site in any different way. It's an info-source.
I used to call myself an Information Engineer. Try that for size. I've been doing it ALL night and all morning so far - engineering information. He he he. I'm not sure how ethical it is to be a pet owner of a dozen animals you've never had (well, if you research properly you can IMAGINE owning them!) or whether it's plausible to join the team sites for a wide variety of harshly opposing football clubs.
Out of interest, what were you going to do differently if it's a blog, "not a site"? Surely there IS no different. A link is a link. Whether you're advertising a jpeg, an ebook, an online mall or a list of clever thoughts.
Good luck with being green. Save the world. Someone has to. If I can help you I will.
Nice avatar, mother. It's added to my collection.
