I get no more than 5 comments a day on 5 new posts (it's all because on that blog I only post to make money, I mean I don't provide very good, long articles; but only 200 to 250 word articles). But I still remember the day when I got more than 30 comments in response to one post I wrote criticizing a famous celebrity of our region. Most of them are filled with dirty words, LOL. The fans couldn't take it even though what I wrote was correct.

Well, I got 500 spam comments today coz I have not installed plugin to protect against comments. Now I have just installed Askimet wordpress pluging to handle this

It depends and varies and article to article. Some of my articles got a few comments while others received none.

It depends on theme because you never guess what would be interesting for audience..and those spamming really upsets

I got 1-2 comments a day at my blog. But i only approve those relevant comments.

My max is 24 comments on a weight loss blog

On my personal Blog, daily I get 10 to 20 comments. I think it is less not. . .

I also get good comments and inquiries.

As for me, it depends on m post. I often get around 5 comments per posts. And about one or two out of 5 are spammers... :P

This really depends on how good your article is. I really recommend to ask people questions or write some controversal stuff, as I saw an increase on commenters because of this. I saw that people usually don't thank, when they like your post. Most of the visitors only comment to criticise (which is of course also good)
