Blogging works great for business! Post articles daily about your business to promote it and create many links to your blog to get more traffic. I have had great success with article marketing.

advertising and exposure... those are two things that a blog can do to your business, if your business has a site aside from blogs, blogs can also help in giving your site PR and delivering traffic to it since blogs do rank in SERP as well, its a good access point to your site.

Also blog is a great source of some hidden traffic. I mean if you post some images on your blog they can bring you traffic from the Google image search and so on...

yep marketing, it helps you communicate your authority on a subject.
they can be a form of generating backlinks (so autoblogging see bloggerhigh.com for info)

hidden traffic? well as to your definition with hidden traffic and images, is it targeted traffic? would it be traffic that could convert into earnings?

About 2 years ago I ran across the blog of a Doctor. She discussed how she felt when she first got out of medical school, and how she thought she knew so much. And tyhe more the was in the medical field, the more she realized that she actually knew every little.

There was one heart breaking story of a homeless lady that was pregnant. The lady was seeking advice on terminating her pregnancy because she was strung out on drugs, and selling her "services" on the street.

It was a very sad story. The only reason this unborn childs life was going to be terminated was because of money and drugs. The mother had been strung out on crack, crystal myth, anything she could get her hands on she would take. So there is a good chance that the child would be born with serious birth defects.

So yes, I can see where blogs for companies can be a way to reach the community. Especially when it comes to stories like that doctors.

That is such a good experience of you. Putting up real experiences and stories could really be a good tool to make your blog be an asset to you business.

Having it updated with some really good tips and content could certainly make a diffference...
