I started blogging about a year ago. Since then i made a lot of blog, but deleted it each time i think it is useless and meaningless. Now i started to blog again after i know about adsense. Honestly, its all about earning money.

I learned a lot about blogging from this forum. I have a lot to read and a lot to understand.All the rules, method, etc. But i can't read it all, so I'm going to ask your opinion.

Its my 1st try, so try not to be harsh to me =p

I made it so that i can answers question (from forums, yahoo answers, etc) that people post, and in the same time increasing traffic to my blog. Is this correct? or is it legal?

I also want to know what other thing that i need to add to make my blog so that it has all the basic thing that a good blog would have?

I have added up so many widgets, post many useful things, but now i need to know how google list my blog into google search engine, because up until now, the only link that appear as "hit-liquidsilver" in google search engine come from sites and forums that i posted that link too, such as this forum. How to make it directly go to my blog? Do i need to wait for a longer period before that can happen? or do i miss out anything here?

Get more good and quality content.

The adsense ad on every post is really not a good choice of ad size. Also you can blend the color of your ads to your own site template. This will surely get more chances of getting a click.

Get used to it! It's just one blog among 10s of millions of others.

What makes it so different that it is worth visiting on a regular basis?

I know its only one blog over a gazillion of other blogs, but still i want to learn to be the best at it. For the time being, I will stick on computers stuffs, and maybe one day I will find one very interesting topic that I can shares to all.

This week, I've done some decent amounts of 'tips and hints' search on blogging,and of course on adsense too. I've learn a lot of things, and it takes times to fully understand how each of it works. All the RSS thing, Google Analytics and etc, I finally understand how it work.
What left for me is to promote my blog maybe?

Your ads between the post are not good in size better use banner size ads. Another thing is, better put your vertical ads at the right corner of your blog plus a google custom search at the upper right page of your blog. thanks! I hope it helps. you can do it.

I've change the Ads size to a smaller one, and pick a color that blend in into my blog colors. Also change the position of the ads and the google search. But I was wondering, if I disguised all the ads, I'm afraid that people won't notice it. Do all bloggers do it like that?

And also, I really need to understand about adding sitemaps. I found this blog about adding sitemaps to blog, but I think i dont really understand it myself.

tell us if your vistors have increased by your improvements

Well, the visitors increased, sometimes up to 50 to 100 max,and one or 2 clicks. But that happened only when I promoted my blog every day on Yahoo Answer, forums, etc.If I don't promote it, almost no one visit my blog.

I think I've done something wrong here,maybe my blog isn't interesting enough for second visit. Recently I tried to visit others blog and leave some comments about their post, that really helps, but still, the traffic is around 50 - 100 visitors.

I already explore and read a major part of "how to increase traffic" post on this forum and other forums, applied some of them, but still no improvement. Maybe I need to wait for a couple of month before my blog attracts its own fans.Just maybe.

Well, if you have any suggestion, feel free to add a reply, I do need it. My blog is new, and I'm new.

I think what confuses me about your blog is that I don't understand what it is about really. You are answering questions about computers, got some reviews in there, some downloads, it seems a bit unstructured and vague. As a user I am not really guided towards things and my experience is somewhat reduced by this.

As far as organic visitors goes, to get them you need to rank for certain keywords, to rank for keywords you just have to backlink, backlink and backlink and when you feel like you are so sick of it go and backlink some more. Decide which keywords you want to rank for in google or yahoo and work on them. A good example of this would be to add a signature to your account on this forum with a good keyword, that would be an excellent start.

Once people start coming to your site and liking what you write you may start producing backlinks organically as they may just link to you.

And about the back link (sorry if this questions is way to noobzz), what is back linking?
Is it when i put someone blog address on my blog or is it when i asked someone to put my blog address at theirs? Or neither of them is correct?

Arghh, need more research on back linking, i was so busy adding new post to my blog and and sticking widgets on them.(that seem to make the blog looks better)

And just for your information, i join a local community website, reg my self and start promoting my blog, and guess what? My traffic increased, now 100+ visit per day Not really a big number, but it did increased!!

Well, i created another blog, this one is quite personal, actually I post anything I think is interesting in this blog. Usually interesting post increased traffic. The blog link can be found at my signature part, feel free to visit and left some comments.

Hey, i understand what is back linking now..lol..it was simple, i was just being to complex..

you have some kind of script on your blog that brings my browser to a crawl. So, first, I'd recommend reducing the amount of external javascript includes.

Next, with the traffic that you have, try reducing the number of ads. Too many ads will prevent repeat visitors. Repeat traffic is the "bread and butter" of a blog. So, in the beginning, keep the site, clean, uncluttered, and minimize the number of ads. Try changes slowly once your traffic grows.

Since your blog is about computers, try writing posts that explain how to solve problems. Those types of posts can generate quite a bit of search traffic. Since you already use yahoo answers, read through the history and look for common questions. Those can give you ideas to write about. Those types of posts are actually usefull and provide a service to your visitors. Howto posts can be very good too.

It takes time to build traffic, just keep at it. Make regular posts. For an example, read this post on Jeff Attwood's blog.

One way to measure your progress. Only promote every other post. When you see the posts that are not promoted gaining traction, you'll know you are making progress. Using Feedburner (now Google) and Google sitemaps, you can get an idea of the number of subscribers you have. Once that number is above a few hundred, you won't need to promote your site anymore. Your visitors will do it for you.

done, i removed some ads,now my blog look kinda neat. i think no one click on the ads, so why bother putting up so much. maybe once my blog reach 200+ unique visitors per day, i will add up on the ads.

Do you mean that i need to study each post and check for frequent visitors?

Do some SEO work for your blog. Means try to generate backlink for your blog. Which will help you to get good SERP result.
