I have caught a few people directly copying my content from my blog. And I'm talking direct copy and paste, not even changing a single word around. Is there anything that I can do about this?

Ok, I'm new to all this, so let me make sure I'm understanding what you are saying correctly. I don't really want to do that right? So you are saying that there is really nothing I can do?

Why not?
If you want people to actually visit your site, why would you give them a simple way not to?
If they can read everything that you publish somewhere else, why would they visit your site to read it again?

Ok, so maybe I've stupider than even I thought, but isn't that how subscribers are made aware that I have a new post?

It is, but it also means they don't need to visit the site to read the post (or see any advertising you may have).

HINT: Limit what goes in the RSS feed, so there is a Read More ... link to your site.

Have you tried contacting those who copied your posts? Try to email them. And yes, try to limit your RSS feeds broadcast.

I think you still get benefit from google if you content is copied and published somewhere else on web..

I think if you just set you posts to be partial through your settings in your admin area in wordpress you can get them to goto your site to read it

Yeah, it might prevent them a little from copying the blog content... but not totally.

If you use blogger then:

Log in blogger / Dashboard --> Layout --> Add Gadget - scroll down --> HTML/JavaScript --> copy the next code and past in in HTML/JavaScript text box area

When someone will try to do right click a message will appear “Function disabled”.

Dont fight it, use it, put inbedded links back to your site, if thier just scrapping the content you couuld end up with some great backlinks to your site from it.

like this anyone can get content easily. Bloggers write content by doing hours of research in keywords and more. This way anyone can get good revenue from their blogs with copied content and no hard work
