Hi guys

Am not very good with wordpress so this might well be a stupid question lol, but i have my blog at a diff area to my homepage, but I would like to display say the last 5 posts to my blog on my homepage.

Is there an easy way to do this with wordpress ?

Why not just display them using your RSS feed?

It might be more efficient to just query the database rather than try to parse the RSS feed.

SELECT * FROM wp_posts WHERE post_status = 'publish' AND post_type = 'post'
ORDER BY post_date 
LIMIT 5;

Thats what i was looking for james just that tutorial is in php, you got anything like that in html ? i will have a look around too at least i know u can do it

That code isn't actually part of wordpress. I just wrote it to demonstrate how you can query the database outside of wordpress. What exactly are you trying to do?
