Whichever way you use to create the RSS feed (in all blog platforms it's built in), burn your feed with feedburner, that way you'll get to see subscriber count and do other cool stuff, like advertising through AdSense.
In WordPress, I recommend getting the Feedburner FeedSmith -plugin and use it to redirect the blog RSS feed (defaults to in domain/feed/ in WP) to feedburner, so you don't have to worry about people subscribing to wrong feed and you "catch" all readers in the feedburner's count.
