I currently run YouthBusinessBlog.com, but I always feel like I have to stretch for content. The domain name is no longer very relevant, and I have less and less to write on. I've found that not many young people share my enthusiasm about business as I do. By the way, I'm 15.

For a new blog, I was thinking about writing a blog about school, because that's what I do everyday. I'm a very successful student, with numerous school connections, and lots of tips and tricks. For example, I could write a post about "How To Ace That English Essay", "How To Study For The Test You Forgot About", and "how To Get lunch ahead of time".

Good idea? Would it get repeat visitors? I know that you're supposed to be in it for the writing, which I totally am, but in terms of AdSense later on, would it make enough?

I think your ideas are great and its gonna be very useful for student, especially if you keep focusing on writing how to and giving tips to pass a subject or exam.. And as for getting visited again, well if you did get to help them on one subject or assignment most probably they might come back for more. As for google adsense I think it might work since they still do have a lot of ads about writing.. =)

here is the catch....it is better to target a niche....broad topic blogs do not make as much cash as relevant targeted blogs. Do some keyword research and see what people are search for...then buy that domain.

Pretty cool ideas you got, but I doubt it whether teenagers are into blogging or do they have the time to read blogs with such niche. I mean teenagers right are more onto gaming, music and entertainment stuffs. Just my opinion.

You actually have really great ideas, but you should also target teen's interests.

You should have your blog very unique in information, design and it must attract teenagers.

Content is also very important and that your design goes well together with your content, so your whole blog package is the most important thing for you to consider.

Nothing can be "very unique"! It is either unique or not.

Also appreciated what everyone has said yet I would also like to add why don't you focus on niche which are all about school subjects? There can be instant readers there because most students do rely on instant information that they may get in the Web so you'll get a catch. Also, by getting more specific, try to research on those subjects which are most failed, most wanted and are most achieved by students so that they will be aware of their Dos and Donts.

Well, with all these, I would salute you kid on your intelligence as for your young experiences.

The idea is very good. You can make it in proper way you can get success.

Contrary to what others have been saying, I think taking the niche size you mentioned might be best in this situation. You can honestly talk so much about student life and limiting your self even further can certainly make you run out of topics to write about. Regarding the topic itself, pretty good topic to try out if you ask me.

I think you will excel more on that rather than blogging about business (since you are still young and no experience yet on running a business. Take a study on what your blog about teens will be really all about. Let say it was all about different school subject topic, etc.

Why don't you write a blog on the "exam notes".Many students miss their classes.This way you will get a good amount of followers.
