hi

say I have a blog like abc.wordpress.com, abc.wetpaint.com, abc.blogger.com. I have placed a article in this with a link to site ww. abc. com. Are these links are do follow or no follow?

there is no "do follow" it's either rel="nofollow" or nothing at all.

k.. but will google consider them as back links to the site? When I check in backlinkwatch . com or google webmaster tools, they are not shown. I have this doubt because few people told that they are considered as back links to the site.

Who knows.

As they are from just another splog probably not.

It seems like another case where blogs are considered to have "magical properties"

For any links to have "value" the originating page must have some "value" to pass on, otherwise it's just yet another junk link, of which you will need thousands if not hundreds of thousands.

Maybe you should take a look at the HTML source code of your page and see if there are rel="nofollow"

Sure I have a bunch of backlinks from wordpress.com sites....even though they are nofollow...Goggle still counts them as backlinks!

Google count them as backlinks sometimes, but it has no effect when trying to raise the Pr for your site.

It doesn't matter whether you get dofollow or nofollow links as long as the links are from relevant sites.

Did Google index those sites that you used to link to the ww. abc .com? Is the link positioned near the top of the site? My blog have this problem with Google. Google doesn't count links that are positioned near the bottom of my blog pages except the ones at the top. Maybe that's whats happenning to abc.wordpress.com, abc.wetpaint.com and abc.blogger.com.

Yeah what is more important in a link is its relevancy and the quality of the link

There are no such Do follow and No Follow sites the only thing is that you either comment on a blog post which you like it or if you does not like that then no issues.
