Which means spamming of course!!

The issue here is that promoting a site takes time or money. The trouble is not a lot of people have money, so its only understandable that people would naturally want to get something back from their post since they don't have the money to promote it in hopes that their time will give them money in the end.
There's nothing wrong with looking for dofollow or nofollow, but blatently spamming sure there's a problem. And you know just as much as everyone else that it's only going to get worse. The best thing you can do is educate people with your posts rather than just be condescending in hopes that somehow they "get it".
I've read a few of your posts and your always encouraging people to contribute worthwhile posts, but the trouble is you have to lead by example. I realize you'll probably delete this post, because no one likes someone telling them how to run their forum while they play a dictator role.
But honestly, please give these people who are broke and are looking for worthwhile methods something to chew on.
