Hi all. Used this forum for awhile and now have a problem myself.

I built a wordpress site on one of my sub-domains for a client. Site was completed and all was fine, Then set up my clients hosting. I installed WP 2.9.2, set config.php file, uploaded theme, exported old site, imported to new site, used ftp to move image files to new site (same directory and folder), used search and replace to set proper url's, set permissions to 755 for image folder and wp-contents and theme, set permissions to 664 for image files.

All I get is the infamous red x box. If you click the image link where the image is suppose to be the image shows. So I know the image path is correct. But still no pic.

Any thoughts?

the image path may be correct but is the thumbnail path correct?

The theme uses timthumb.php and stores the database in the same folder as the images.

When link is followed it says "does not exist". So now I suspect that
the thumbs database is the problem, but how to solve? I already tried to
ftp the database again with the same result. Also update timthumb.php to newest
with no change.

Still lost...

The timthumb re-sizer will make a folder for caching the images. The folder will be made in the same directory a the script is in titled cache. There is no "database" just a folder.

By any chance, are you on hostgator? Some hosts,(like hg) for security reasons, will need you to call them and get your url white listed in order to use that script.

No, my client got his own hosting @ 123reg out of Great Briton. I'll check to see if this script is allowed there.

I tried loading images through the upload image provided in the theme itself made just for this purpose. The image uploads and the theme sets the path itself, but still nothing. Image is still not seen in post or on the front page featured articles. When I made the site on my hosting everything went fine. I would upload through their upload and all images showed .

Any more ideas guys?

Gave up. Changed theme and did everything different. Works now. Thanks
