Heard that Google is going to take into consideration to rank your site based on how fast your blog takes to load up. If it's takes a long time it's not good for your search engine ranking.

How true is it? If it's true any solution on how to increase the speed of the load.

Site speed is just one little pixel of the big picture. Last time I heard, google uses something like 200 factors on where it ranks a website.

So when you start talking about site speed affecting your rankings, I seriously doubt it. There are lots of more important factors to take into consideration first.

Google released that site loading time is now a factor in determining rank.

Heheh, kinda guilty of this because according webmaster central my blog loads 12 seconds w/c is slower than 95% of the sites..

my loading time is just average

5-10 seconds with ads and blog apps, really depends on my internet speed.

Faster than an European swallow. But probably not an African swallow.

Yeah, ignore what your users are telling you, and trust 100% a machine that has been built to gain money.
After all, if the machine says it's slower, what does the people know?

Yes, Google has given importance to many factors, of which load time is an important one. If you website is generally very slow in loading.. then naturally your visitors gets irks and they close the window and go for an another resource.
