I have an HTML site, but I want to add a blog to the same domain. I heard that WordPress will put the blog on their own domain and not yours. Is there a blog platform that you can recommend or a workaround?

Use blogger to publish the pages to your site over FTP.

I know you can integrate wordpress blog with your html site,so sorry ,i have not any idea about blogger.

Wordpress will only put the blog on their oen domain if you are signing up at their site wordpress.com, however Wordpress can be downloaded and installed on your own blog, if you have cPanel it is a straight forward process with Fantastico, you can create a subdomain i.e. subdomain.example.com or example.com/subdomain and install the Wordpress blog there

I have no idea with blogger, but you can easily to setup a blog with wordpress.

dagaul101 has the right idea. Using Fantastico, you would create a blog on a directory. So your site would look like www.mydomain.com/blog/

You can then create a link on your homepage to the blog.

I think I can do a link on your blog. But if add it to your site, I don't quite understand.
