May be because google don't want it's users to get SEO value of blogger.com by giving subdomain in blogger.com

because Google owns blogger.com and blogspot.com

They probably want blogspot to become a household name.
Plus, blogger would give everyone great rankings, even the crappier blogs.

I agree with Benmoore, as long as google provides us great rankings then its perfectly fine and besides its a free service anyway.

Thank you for supporting my idea. Maybe Blogger find blogspot a better hosting name than the name itself.

It is nothing relavant to seo but i think it's discussion is for sharing knowledge.

There is definitely no problem in it and it doesn't makes any difference. Maybe it's just that, he's wondering why blogger comes up with that.

Blogger always had the subdomain as blogspot, the same way Google pages always had the subdomain as googlepages as opposed to name.google.com

blogger.com and blogspot.com are the site which on google community . because Google owns blogger.com and blogspot.com :d:d

It seems a reasonable question to me. Either (a) it's being asked out of curiosity or (b) there's the underlying point that if I have product xyz I'll put it on xyz.com rather than xab.com.
