Interesting, I saw on a site that the word 'Blog' came from 'Web log'.

I think blog or website is nothing specific different, maybe there in content. Or if the blog include website, but websites do not necessarily blog

Blog is a website. What difference I see is Blogs have a host.

It is not necessary to have certain direction for th blog. Just write an interesting articles which would be good to read.

I agree. Aside from providing the information (quality content) visitors need, add some entertainment to your site to encourage users to come back or to keep reading within your site. Post something that is a good laugh or some latest and interesting news.

Also may suggest learning the widgets available for your blog and the tendencies of their use at other sites. It is possible to add news block, the clock, the popularity and statistic widgets, in order to make a site more lively

A blog enables me to easily update information and put a 'human' face on my company. It enables me to connect directly with stakeholders. Websites don't have the flexibility the blog format does.

Simply speaking, if you're the owner of the blog, you post topics, make categories and pages, basically turning the blog into a site. Other people can read your posts and comment.

Website are created in HTML and blog using CMS . You can create blog using wordpress and or blogspot CMS

There's no much difference, that depends how would you like to use the system.

Nope a 'blog' is a collection of web pages containing images, videos or other digital assets arranged in chrnological order.

And the pages on a "website" do NOT need to be related in any way shape or form.

It is simply a collection of documents that are accessible using the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol.

Don't get hung up of giving "names" togenres of pages.
All "blogs" are websites but not all websites are "blogs".
