Hey guys,

I would like to install some new plugins on my WP blog and would love to see the different plugins according to what they do (not how popular they are) is there a place where the plugins are listed this way? i.e 'advertising plugins' 'calender plugins' 'feedback plugins'?

i feel it's a must feature since we don't always know the name of the plugin we are looking for...

I have no idea on this. Maybe Wordpress do this for security reasons. What do you think?

Ugly is a huge under statement still, for the keyword 'advertise' i get an endless list of plugins... keyword 'banner' not even there... etc.

I'm giving up. I asked around and no one has a solution.
What i'm doing now is reading in different blogs about recommended plugins in specific fields... i realize many awesome options are being overlooked this way but it's "the less of all evils".

Besides the "search" and the "tag cloud" , there isn't anything more to do, besides read from other blogs, what plug-ins they recommend for you to use,

Although, the built-in WP search feature gives me accurate results most of the times, when I'm searching for a plug-in. ( use a keyword and you'll find a list of results )
