Hey guys,

I wanted to ask if you could think why ALL of the replies i get on my blog are SPAM! not even one constructive reply or comment...
I know i can block comments but i actually want visitors to be able to interact and express themselves.

Apply an option of premoderation and you will be able to see the comments which are worth of being published.

Or make sure your content is worth of being commented.

You aren't the only one with this problem. Most of the blogs I start end up with 90% spam comments from SEO guru masters.

Rob - I have such a feature and filter these comments before they are published, just wishing i will also get some real comments...

As they say...if you build it, they will come.

Blog about something that people will actually comment on, and they will come.

Try ending your posts with a question or ask for a comment, that helps =)

Why do you want comments anyway, just from reading "SEO" forum you must realise that the only people likely to comment are the clueless link dropping clowns who think it is "SEO"!

No. It's still free for personal use. They try to trick you into paying by having the payment slider almost all the way to the max payment on the slider.

You are NOT interested in what the author had to say, hell, you probably didn't even read the article first (much like you didn't actually read this thread)

Blogs, Social sites and forums are NOT there for you to abuse just because they exit.
That's the reason, you get banned, blocked and berated!!!

I'd also like to state that you should be careful what you say. What you said in bold text here can get you thrown into prison for quite a long time.

My last blog got 10, 000 spam comments. I said "to hell with that". ( no comments were accepted / although, there might have been a few useful comments posted )

None of those good for nothing comment spam removal plugins actually worked well. I always thought if you mark a comment as "spam" , the person could not re-comment..

The blog spammers are not the only people to blame. It's those buyers that hires these guys to spam all of our blogs with useless comments, without even reading the article as Chris stated, just to get a link.

I just turned all of my comment forms off. I thought it be an easy way to get free content....Nope!

It is pretty hard to add links through blogs now! Most of them limit to do so! I think you had better take it with forums!
