Hi,

Nowadays you can see everywhere that many people make thousands of dollars through blogging. This has made many others to think about starting a blog whereas 99% of them can not write a single 500 words article on their own. They know that they are not suitable for blogging but can not ignore the money that their blog can make for them because they have heard that it makes money.

So they have one options: Creating a spam blog (also known as splog) that steals other blogs contents automatically and so doesn't need any article to be written by the blog owner. They think that such a blog will make money too but it can not make a single cent because as I said it is called spam blog. No search engine will rank it and nobody will be interested in reading it because its posts are defective, non-sense and off topic.

So if you are a blogger and you can not write about the topic that your blog is about, you are wasting your time. If you can write but don't know "how" but just post something on your blog everyday to keep it updated, again you are wasting your time and you will give up soon.

I see many bloggers, just make some posts everyday to say they have updated their blog. When you read their posts, you decide not to be back to their blog again. If you don't like to be such a blogger and have such a blog, before you make a post ask yourself, "What's the point? What do I want to achieve? What reaction am I aiming for? What do I want the reader to do after reading my post?"

Don't make a post on your blog just to keep your blog updated. Post something that makes an impact in your readers life and business.

Absolutely. The most important skills for a blogger are an ability to write and having something to say. Posting just to post is quite pointless.

Is there really a difference a difference between spamblogs and your site? Spam blogs who's purpose is just to get visitors that will click on adsense or affiliate links aren't that different from your site. You put your adsense inside the body of your content and you have affiliate links. You repackage information that others have written about extensively and post it on your site, so where is the difference? I checked out a few of your posts and couldn't discern your "voice" in any of the writing, so how is your site unique compared to popular sites like problogger?

And aren't you really just spamming when you post this same post verbatim on different forums (I saw it on bloggerforum) and don't even bother coming back to reply to the community members that took the time to applaud your blogging platitudes?

pot to kettle much?

And people need to stop referring to spam blogs by the quaint sobriquet; "splogs"- because it really diminishes just how vile they are. And while blog scrapers are similar to spam blogs I think they're different in a couple of ways.

Who says your blog has to be about any particular topic, or really just one? My latest post ( trying to figure out how to get that to show up here ) is about Tim Leary and Pavlov's dog. The one before it deals with DNS poisoning by the Chinese Government and the Communist Party. Earlier, I wrote about Ptolemy II of Egypt's lasting contribution to the world.

I challenge anyone to read the posts and tell me they're "off-topic" and bad. The writing is very good, the topics are woven together in a subtle but thematic way, and hopefully, it gives the reader some insight into who we are, as individuals, as a society, and as a species.

Very true, well written blogs that cover a multitude of subjects are just as interesting as ones that deal with specific topics.

Usually my posts center on topics that people ask me about in real life. For example, my blog post on utorrent was sparked by the number of people that ask me daily how to use the software to torrent. Random tips off the top of my head: Write what you know. Don't be a sham. And keep your site updated with something at all times. Be unique. Be you. Dare to be different. With anything you blog, before you hit the publish button ask yourself will anyone that does not personally know me care about this post? If not, don't post it. Good luck.

I am already mad at so many of these people who waste my time with copied content, youtube videos or just links to other things. I consider a blog to be something personal. I really want to read some unique content, rants if you want, but I want to feel the author, not just read the same copied content I am sick of already. I started blogging too and I just try to offer MY ideas in it. Bad or good, that's me in the end
