Automated Blog & Ping Software

Hey there!

I wonder if there is any working automated blog & ping software available on the market beside of Blog To Rank and RSS2Blog. I tested both and I don't like them. RSS2Blog sometimes causes heavy server load (especially when you have lots of blogs) and Blog To Rank support is worst support I've ever seen. Which software do you recommend?! Please share your experience!

I am the author of SEOBlogBuilder (see www.seoblogbuilder.com) which uses significantly fewer resources than R2B and has just been upgraded to version 2.00 which supports, in addition to distributed pinging, trackbacks and posting to more blog types - including via email. If you have any questions, please see the site or email me directly.

As with any tool, it's how you use it. I plan on using it to delay posting of articles that I've written for one of my sites to a randomized schedule - that way I can do a lot of the work at once without having to remember to go and post it. There's nothing black hat about that and it keeps in line with the recommended process of growing your site over time. Take that and add in the linking features and viola - a white hat site with unique content optimized for search engines and humans.

JeremyMiller: you're not allowed to plug your own stuff like that. Not only that, it's a pretty tacky thing to do.

kubasoft: WordPress can be configured to ping the services of your choice automatically. It's pretty easy to set up too (about 5 minutes).

You can also set up your posts to be released at any date/time you wish, regardless of when you typed it. There's a box called Timestamp you can use to adjust...well, the post timestamp.

It's not the easiest software in the world to customize, but it should do what you want.

Forgive me for crossing you. I was simply stating the truth. I personally recommend that pinging should be done through your blog posting software (though SBB provides an alternative method for those which desire it). As for the blog software - I support a lot more than just WordPress, but thanks for the information. I was being honest to questions and statements that people offered and did not offer information outside of that purview. If you want more information, you know where to go. If you have questions, I won't hesitate to respond - truthfully.

Best wishes,

Jeremy Miller

As I try to carefully follow the rules of a forum, can you point me exactly where the rules state that I can't respond as I have done above? I reviewed them and believe that I am compliance. I'd like to know this as I like this forum and have been posting in other areas and want to stay within the ToS.

Thanks!

You know what? You've got a bit of a point there.

http://www.webmaster-talk.com/graphi...rum-rules.html

There really isn't anything as such about self-promoting links not being allowed. I guess I just knew that because of the number of times I've seen them removed (and because it is pretty common sense).

Mods, that may be something to modify in that thread.

Well, I don't honestly know what you'd suggest to replace. The initial question was

Quote:

And, I did answer that question, honestly and without diverging inappropriately. I wholly disagree with your assertion that my comments have been inappropriate for this particular thread. They were actually on topic and did not include affiliate links - they are a true representation by the true author (and I'm willing to prove it if anyone desires such proof).

I have tried to be respectful, polite, honest, and upfront. I think you're complaints are less on my behavior than the perceived nature of the mentioned product. (Please note that I have intentionally not directly referenced [except once by acronym] or linked to my product in response to your posts which clearly indicate a personal distaste.)
